Accounting Manager

Role: Full-Time or Part-Time, Remote (HQ in Dallas)

We’re not a high-volume bookkeeping shop. We partner with a smaller group of clients who value excellence, communication, and proactive support. That means we care deeply about clean books, but just as much about helping clients actually understand their numbers.

This role is for someone who wants more than just “doing the books.”
You enjoy owning your work, building trust with clients, and delivering financials you’re proud of. You don’t need constant oversight, but you do value being part of a team that supports and sharpens each other.

What You’ll Do
You’ll manage a portfolio of clients and be responsible for delivering a consistent, high-quality monthly close experience.
This is not a “data entry” role. You’ll review, think critically, and communicate.
Responsibilities include:
Own the monthly close process for assigned clients
Review bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financials for accuracy
Deliver clean, timely financial reports each month
Communicate proactively with clients (not just when something is wrong)
Collaborate with Bookkeepers and Senior Accounting Managers
Support onboarding and cleanup projects when needed
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online (required)
Experience with tools like BILL, Gusto, and Google Workspace (preferred)
Ability to manage deadlines and stay organized in a remote environment
Clear, professional communication skills
